Recharging your vehicle's AC system is fast and easy using sub-zero from idq Sub Zero r134 refrigerant provides up to 18% colder air and comes with a reusable charging hose with built-in pressure gauge the gauge dial also allows you to adjust for outside temperature for a proper system fill to recharge your AC always remember to first put on safety glasses and gloves to begin locate the low side service port under the hood and remove the cap the low side port will always be on the larger diameter aluminum tubing between the compressor and the cars firewall for additional help in finding your vehicle's low-side port visit the port locator at idq usa.com now start the engine and set the AC to max cool with fan speed on its highest setting shake the can well attach the charging hose to the low side port by pulling up on the connector sleeve and then pushing the connector over the fitting and releasing the sleeve gently tug on the hose to insure the connector is locked on the fitting before charging set the temperature dial on the charging hose to the current outside air temperature at this point check the pressure gauge to get an accurate pressure reading it's critical that the compressor is running you'll know your compressor is running by looking at the center of the pulley which should be rotating and cycling on and off now begin recharging the system by turning the valve handle clockwise to pierce the can and then in the opposite direction to open the valve and release the refrigerant into the system during charging hold the can upright and continuously rotate it back and forth between the twelve and three o'clock positions continue this process checking the system pressure frequently you'll need to shut the valve first to take a pressure reading from the a/c system the system is fully charged when the gage needle is in the green zone within the pie-shaped area of the temperature dial do not overcharge the system after charging close the valve and remove the hose coupler from the low side port and replace the service cap store the partially filled can of refrigerant in a cool dry place keeping the dispensing hose tightly attached to the can
